ilumd

Pricing

$29 a month, per workspace.

One secured, always-current view of your docs for one audience — a client, an internal team, or a public portal. Your team isn’t the meter, and every reader is free forever. You pay for what you govern, never for who reads.

No free-forever tier — thirty days, no card, to prove it on a real client. Prices in USD.

$29/moper workspace

Readers are always free

Staff, clients, and the public read for nothing, forever — no per-reader fee, no cap on how many. Share as widely as you like and protect your margin.

Your first client is on the house

The first client workspace that pays credits $29/mo against your own bill — so your first paying client pays for your own setup.

The second meter

Editors are banded, org-wide.

An editor is anyone who creates, manages, shares, or governs docs — counted once across your whole org, on top of your workspaces. The first ten are free. This is a meter, not a plan: there’s no free product here, only a band that happens to start at zero.

A worked example

5 staff, 6 clients, client-billed.

A five-person agency runs its own workspace plus six client workspaces, each billed to the client. Here’s the whole bill.

Self-billing instead? You’d pay $29 for your own workspace and carry the clients on your invoice — the first-client credit still zeroes your $29, and you mark the rest up in your fees.

  • 5 staff who create and govern docs ≤10 editors — free$0
  • Your own agency workspace the unit$29
  • 6 client workspaces, billed to each client clients pay ilumd directly$0 to you
  • First paying client credit zeroes your own workspace−$29
Total to the agency, per month$0

The six clients pay ilumd directly. Land more clients and each one past the first earns pooled AI credits, not cash.

AI, included and honest

Every workspace can answer questions from its own docs.

Ask your docs — included

Grounded, cited answers over a workspace’s documents, scoped to what each person may see. A taste on trial, and a generous monthly allowance once you’re paying — never metered per question.

Audience variants — coming

Regenerate a document for a specific audience, metered by prepaid credit packs. This one isn’t shipped yet — we’ll price it plainly when it lands, and agencies will earn pooled credits as they grow.

Part ways with a client later? Nothing breaks. Because the client pays ilumd directly, their portal keeps running and their billing continues — you just hand over management. ilumd is merchant of record, so agency churn never takes the clients with it. No lock-in, nothing to reconcile.

Pricing questions

The model, in plain words.

Why is there no free tier?

Because a real client is the only honest test. Every workspace gets 30 days free with no card to prove it on live work — if it isn’t worth $29 by then, we haven’t earned it. There’s no $0-forever plan: the trial ends, and a paid workspace is $29/mo.

Who actually pays for a workspace?

Your call, per workspace. Client-billed means the client becomes a direct ilumd customer and pays us. Self-billed means you pay and can mark it up in your own fees. ilumd is merchant of record either way, so if you and the client part ways their docs keep working — no hostage situation.

What’s the difference between an editor and a reader?

An editor creates, manages, shares, or governs docs — that’s the meter, counted org-wide, and the first ten are free. A reader only reads. Readers are free forever, with no limit on how many: your team, your clients, and the public. You pay for what you govern, never for who reads.

Does the AI leak documents between clients?

No. “Ask your docs” answers each person only from the documents they’re already allowed to see — the exact same permissions that govern the portal govern the AI. One client can never surface another client’s docs through a question.

How does my first client make my own workspace free?

The first client workspace that actually pays credits $29/mo against your own bill — so your own workspace is covered the moment you land one paying client. Clients beyond the first earn pooled AI credits rather than cash.

Can I earn on the clients I bring in?

Yes — through our opt-in Partner program. Every paying client beyond your first adds 5 AI credits a month to a pool you and your clients draw on. It’s handled off-platform for now. Your clients pay exactly the same whether or not you join.

Are these prices final?

Yes. $29 a month per workspace, editor bands as listed, readers free. The Partner program pays in AI credits rather than cash, and we confirm your credit rate when you join.

Prove it on a real client. Thirty days, no card.
